„A THOUSAND AND ONE SEC. [IN_SPACE]”

(2005, video-loop, 16.40 min)

In Angelika Middendorf's video work "A THOUSAND AND ONE SEC. [IN_SPACE]" a drop of water glides for 1,000 seconds through a white, curved space. Every 100 seconds, historic images from the world of science flash up in the drop. Combining media and real space, which she calls "looping spaces," Middendorf creates a new aesthetic experience.
