Tuesday, 20th March, 7 pm Maria Binder / Verena Franke In this documentary, five women and transsexuals
from Istanbul tell of sexual torture by the Turkish police, of how they
are dealing with the trauma and of their fight for social change. Having
talked about their experience in public, some of these women continue
to be prosecuted with lawsuits pending to this day. The charge: insulting
Turkishness. The film focuses on how the women deal with the experience
rather than on the violence suffered. |
